Insulated glass curtain wall glass What's it? Insulated glass (IG), also known as double glazing (or double-pane, and increasingly triple glazing/pane), is constructed of two or three glass tempered glass panels. They are separated by a vacuum or gas filled space to reduce conducted heat loss through the window. Insulated glass units (IGUs) are manufactured with glass in range of thickness from 3 to 10 mm or more in special applications. Laminated or tempered glass may also be used as part of the construction. Argon is one kind of inert gas. Its heat transfer performance is worse than that of air. Therefore, filling it into double glazing glass can reduce the U value and increase the heat insulation of insulated glass. Argon can also protect the film ofLOW-E insulated glass. The density of argon is higher than that of ordinary air, the heat convection can be slowed down, thus reducing the thermal conductivity of the gas. And it can maintain a dry and steady storage environment in quite long time
FEATURES:
Efficient and energy saving, IGUs are designed to reduce both energy loss and outside noise.
Lower carbon footprint
Save on heating and cooling by reducing air-to-air heat transfer
Increase personal comfort and aids in energy conservation
Insulated glass unit provides high sound insulation properties also. Hence it can be beneficial in areas which are crowded or are near markets.
Insulated glass unit is a flexible glass, as the glass panes used can be changed according to the requirements.
Applications:
1.High-rise building curtain wall/ facade glass 2.Stair Railing, Balcony balustrade, Shop window 3.Domes, Skylight, sightseeing elevator, etc.
